The last time I visited Hoover Dam I noticed this bunker on the Arizona side that looks very much like a coast defense base-end station, but since there isn't any coast around, it remains something of a mystery as to exactly what it is.
One of the Hoover Dam guides told me that it was for anti-aircraft protection and was the last of three such bunkers built during World War II to protect the dam.

It doesn't look like an anti-aircraft bunker to me.
Many years ago, Vegas TV interviewed veterans stationed there. The idea was that if the Japanese ever reached the US, Hoover Dam would be targeted, and this was built. I believe one veteran mentioned he had met a Japanese veteran who had seen plans to target the dam if they ever got that far.
